Purpose 

The purpose of this operating procedure is to ensure that company stays complaint with State Tax laws.

Procedure steps 

1. Download All orders report: 

• Go to Orders. Choose contry: US!

• Choose Type of report: Order Date, Event dates: Exact dates

• Select start date as a first day of previous month. End date should be selected automatically (31st day of prev. month OR 1st day of current month)
  
  REMEMBER: count NDS for Komf 3 times (e.g. today’s 08\03, then count NDS for months 07, 06, 05) & summarize them

• Click Request Download

2. Go to Google Spreadsheet, import the report into rsh sheet.
   Press the button on NDS number sheet. You need the highlighted number.
   
   OR count manually: 

• Press View - Freeze - 1 Row

• Sort by 'ship-state'

• Delete all rows except 'FL' or 'FLORIDA' (case - insensitive) 

• Sum 'item-price'

• Sum 'item-promotion'

• Substract 'promo' from 'price'

3. Calculate Website Florida sales: 

• Go to Shopify - Orders - Export Orders

• Open report and delete all but rows desired timeframe 'Paid at'

• Sort by 'Shipping Province' 

• Delete all rows but 'FL/florida' (case - insensitive)

• Count: Sum 'Subtotal' minus Sum 'Discount' 

4. File: 

• Go to NDS site 

• Next - Sale and Use Tax - DR-15 

• Check period matching in the Collection Period 

• Fill info about company, insert sum of numbers from Steps 2 & 3 in cell 1A ('Gross Sales') 

• Insert number from Step 2 in cell 2A ('Exempt Sales')

•  Click Next -Submit Return Only - Save as PDF
